Tour Itinerary

After breakfast, depart from Bukhara and begin your unforgettable Uzbekistan yurt camp tour through the heart of the Kyzylkum Desert.

Your first stop is Gijduvan, famous for its centuries-old ceramic traditions. Visit a local pottery workshop where you can watch master craftsmen create beautiful handmade ceramics using techniques passed down through generations.

Continue to the historic Malik Sardoba, a remarkable 16th-century domed caravan water reservoir that once served travelers along the ancient Silk Road.

The journey then continues to the Sarmysh Gorge, home to thousands of ancient petroglyphs carved into the rocks over thousands of years ago. Discover fascinating images of wild animals, hunters, and daily life, making this one of the most impressive open-air archaeological sites in Uzbekistan.

Arrive in Nurata, an ancient oasis town rich in history. Visit the ruins of the fortress believed to have been built by Alexander the Great, as well as the sacred Chashma Spring Complex, an important pilgrimage site.

After lunch, continue to the Kyzylkum Desert Yurt Camp (Aydar Yurt Camp or similar).

Upon arrival, enjoy traditional Uzbek hospitality with tea and dried fruits before checking into your authentic nomadic yurt.

In the evening, experience the magic of the desert:

Camel riding through the Kyzylkum Desert (15–20 minutes)
Traditional Uzbek dinner
Live nomadic folk music around the campfire
Overnight in a traditional desert yurt

Wake up to the peaceful atmosphere of the Kyzylkum Desert and enjoy a traditional breakfast at the yurt camp.

Before departure, take some free time to explore the surrounding desert, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and experience the tranquility of the nomadic landscape.

Afterwards, drive to Aydarkul Lake, one of the highlights of any Uzbekistan desert tour. Enjoy free time by the lake for walking, relaxing, taking photos, or swimming during the summer season.

In the afternoon, depart for Samarkand, enjoying the changing landscapes of the Nurata Mountains and the Kyzylkum Desert along the way.

Arrival in Samarkand in the evening with drop-off at your hotel.
